Scroll is building an integrated point-of-sale finance platform for one of UK’s largest retrofit decarbonisation contractors
Scroll is proud to have partnered with Sustainable Building Services UK and Sustainable Energy Services UK, part of the Sustainable Group, to build a point-of-sale finance platform ‘Green Finance Hub’ for funding home retrofit decarbonisation projects.
Through the Green Finance Hub, Scroll will bolster its embedded lending tech capabilities and offer Sustainable Group’s ‘able-to-pay’ customers a range of financing options from a panel of lenders assembled by Scroll. Customers would be able to blend eligible government grants with loans through a seamless journey to fund retrofit measures.
The partnership will use the initial grant funding from the GHFA to (1) conduct consumer research, (2) map out the customer journey, (3) carry out UI/UX design the Green Finance Hub platform, and (4) develop partnerships with other lenders that wish to host their products on the platform.
The Green Finance Hub is a point-of-sale finance platform for Sustainable Group customers to access a suite of funding options to meet the upfront cost of retrofitting their homes. As a user friendly and data-driven platform, Green Finance Hub will leverage data available with Sustainable Group to offer customers easy-to-understand funding options such as eligible government grant options and finance offers, all with minimal inputs. Customers can seamlessly blend grants with loan options to develop a bespoke finance package that meets their needs.
Scroll as a lender will look to offer its Green HELOC and home equity loan products through the platform. In cases where customers opt for finance products from other lenders Scroll will act as a broker.
